Querencia Respite Services
Querencia offers respite care services to all ages. We have a number of fully furnished suites available for respite care when constant medical supervision or monitoring is not required. In these instances, community health service providers, district nurses, etc. may provide the necessary medical monitoring, on-site at Querencia.
Each suite contains the following furniture/facilities:
– Single Bed / Double bed
– Built-in wardrobe
– Bedside tables
– Basic kitchenette (cutlery, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, and microwave oven)
– Bathroom includes shower recess and room for wheeled support devices
– Fully-fitted lounge (dining table and chairs, lounge chair, side table, and Digital TV)
24-hour emergency call system
Each suite is fitted with the Safety Link emergency call system via telephone. This provides 24-hour emergency call monitoring for any health issue requiring urgent medical assistance.
Cooking, linen and cleaning services
Three nutritious, home-cooked meals are provided each day. Breakfasts are taken in the resident’s suite at their choice of time. The main meal is served at lunch time (12pm), while the evening meal is served at 5pm. Morning tea is also included, and is served at 10.00am. Any special dietary requirements can easily be accommodated for by our friendly kitchen staff.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided and changed on a weekly basis, or more frequently as required. The residents’ laundry is available for personal use with washing machine, drier, ironing board and iron. Washing lines are also available.
Suites are cleaned on a weekly basis, and on departure. Cleaning costs are included in the quoted fees. However, management reserves the right to charge for any wilful damage to the suite that occurs during your stay.
Querencia’s respite care services are charged at a daily rate of $95.00. Subsidies may be available from Centrelink, DVA and ACAS.
Telephone calls kept to a limit of $10 per week are included in the daily rate. However, any costs over this amount will be billed to the account and are payable upon departure.
